Support the Youth mission Trip to Niagara Falls.
The St. George’s Youth group is going on a Mission trip to Niagara Falls on July 17th.
There are two ways to support the youth.  The first is to buy a ticket for the post- trip dinner on July 31 at 5 pm. We are selling tickets for $15. At this event, we serve you dinner and share pictures and stories of our trip. In addition, we are raffling off a chance to win dinner for 8 hosted by Bishop Mariann. Raffle tickets are $10.00 each. Tickets for both are on sale now! If you have any questions, feel free to ask any member of the Youth group.  You can pay electronically at www.stgeorgesglenndale.org/donate.  Thank you!

Come Make Prayer Beads on July 10!
On Sunday, July 10 at 11:30 am there will be a prayer bead making workshop in the parish hall.  The church will provide the beads and we are looking for volunteers who are willing to put the sets of beads together.  No experience is necessary; directions and support will be given.  These sets will be available to those who would like them as a devotional practice and will also stock the rector's supply of prayer beads to give out to those who might benefit from them, similar to St. George's prayer shawl ministry.

Help Needed - Restocking Kitchen Supplies
Many parishioners have commented on how happy they are to be able to gather in Miller Hall for hospitality after the 10:00 service.  In support of this practice, a volunteer is needed to be the "kitchen restock monitor."  The job would entail checking the levels of cups, plates, napkins, etc. that are kept in the kitchen closet for hospitality and when inventory gets low buying more to restock. Having a membership to Costco or BJ's would be ideal, and expenditures would be reimbursed by the church.  If you are looking for a way to help St. George's that is a low time commitment but important ministry, this could be it! Please speak to Roy Peterson if you can help.

Could You Lend an Air Mattress to the Youth?
The young people of St. George's are going on a mission trip to Niagara Falls in July, where they will be learning about poverty and supporting the local community through service projects.  They will be sleeping on a church classroom floor and so we are looking for twin air mattresses on loan for those youth who don't have them. If you are willing to lend your twin air mattress, please check that it holds air, label it with your name and bring it to church with you by Sunday July 10.  We will return it on July 24.  Many thanks!

Join the Choir!
St. George's Choir is looking for additional singers to sing and pray in person at the Sunday 10 am service and on major holidays.  If you have ever considered singing in the choir now would be a great time! Rehearsals are 7:30-9 pm on Wednesdays and either 9 or 9:15 am on Sundays. Questions? Email Music Director Dr. Joshua Fishbein at
 fishbeinmusic@gmail.com
We welcome all parts but could especially use altos and basses.

Parish Adult Formation Survey is Coming
In the next week or so there will be a survey going out to parishioners regarding adult formation (bible studies, book studies, educational opportunities to support spiritual growth, etc.).  The survey will ask about topics and formats you would like to participate in or be interested in leading and we hope you will take a few minutes to fill it out.
