At this time, the most needed items are:  spaghetti sauce (24 ounce), granola bars, healthy cereals (low sugar i.e. cheerios),  canned veggies: spinach, beets, carrots only  (they have enough green beans and corn),  canned meats: chili, beef stew, hams only (they have enough chicken), dry goods:  rice (bags or boxed or pouches), instant mashed potatoes, etc., healthy individual size snacks - pretzels, nuts, etc.  They could also use some personal care items - shampoo, deodorant, lotion.  Please remember they do not accept expired food. Updating Covid Restrictions for St. George’s
The “Coming together” team met recently and came up with some changes that we want to make you aware of and implement as soon as possible. Here are the things that will change:
  1. We will eliminate the need to pre-register for any and all services.
  2. We will be putting the name tag rack of drawers out so that people can start wearing name tags again.  We just ask that you use hand sanitizer, before you grab your name tag.
  3. We will be putting all hymnals back into chairs
  4. We will be increasing the rows of chairs in the sanctuary.  It will allow for more seats to do your choice of social distancing from.
  5. No masks are needed whenever you are outside of the church, either attending an event or standing around talking with others after or before a service.
We are not changing the indoor mask requirement or addressing in-person hospitality until later in the summer.

Altar Guild Volunteers Needed

Now that we’ve returned to having two services each Sunday, the altar guild needs a few more volunteers. Training is provided. The altar guild prepares the altar each Sunday and is a vital ministry to the life of the parish. If you can help or have questions, please contact Karen Horrocks at khorrocks@earthlink.net.
