Masking is Currently Required at St. George's
Due to the recent surge in infections masking is once again required at St. George's. We ask that everyone wear a KN95 or surgical mask while in St. George's space; if you need one there is a basket of them on the credenza.  We will continue to have hospitality for now but ask that everyone mask unless actively eating or drinking.  If you have questions or concerns, please speak to Connie+ or the wardens. All are asked to wear masks during hospitality except when actively eating or drinking.

Annapolis Pride Parade This Saturday!
Join St. Georges on Saturday, June 4 at Noon for the Annapolis Pride Parade on West St. near Church Circle. Wear bright colors and let's show our pride to the larger community before enjoying the festival after our 1/2-mile parade walk. We have vehicles and we have giveaways - all we need is you!  If you’d like to participate and need to ride rather than walk we can accommodate that and if you are interested in carpooling, plan to meet at the church at 9:00 am.  Please make sure to let Michael Mangiapane know if you plan to participate in the parade - theblackdog@gmail.com.

Support the Youth mission Trip to Niagara Falls.
The St. George’s Youth group is going on a Mission trip to Niagara Falls on July 17th.
There are two ways to support the youth.  The first is to buy a ticket for the post- trip dinner on July 31 at 5 pm. We are selling tickets for $15. At this event, we serve you dinner and share pictures and stories of our trip. In addition, we are raffling off a chance to win dinner for 8 hosted by Bishop Mariann. Raffle tickets are $10.00 each. Tickets for both are on sale now! If you have any questions, feel free to ask any member of the Youth group.  You can pay electronically at www.stgeorgesglenndale.org/donate.  Thank you!

Bishop Mariann’s Visitation to St. George’s is June 19
On Sunday June 19 the Rt. Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde, Bishop of the Diocese of Washington, will make an official visitation to St. George's.  Please plan to be here for this special event in the life of the parish.

It's not Too Late to Make your Donation now the Lenten Outreach
During Lent St. George's invites all to participate in our Lenten Outreach Offering and to set aside fifty cents or a dollar a day during forty days of Lent and at Easter we donate collectively to organizations chosen by St. George's Justice League. This year we give to two organizations, the Haiti Micah Project and Books to Prisoners.  Even though it is now Easter season. It is not too late to make a donation!  You can give electronically on the giving link on St. George's website or by any other means; just mark your donation for Lenten Outreach.  We are hoping to make our gift to the organizations. You can go directly to our donation page by clicking here.

Confirmation is on Saturday May 14 at 10:00 am
At a service at Washington National Cathedral on May 14 at 10:00 am, six members of St. George's will celebrate the sacramental rite of Confirmation or Reception with laying on of hands and welcoming by the bishop.  All are invited and welcome to attend this service; traditionally St. George's has had a good turnout of parishioners on hand to support our confirmation class.  Please keep Barbara Bastow, Liz Beal, Julie Gordon, Paige Lane, Lydia Murray, and Rachel Willingham in your prayers as they get ready for this moment in their journey of faith.

Bowie Food Pantry
Our monthly collection for the Bowie Food Pantry will take place on next Sunday, May 15th. The foods they need the most this month are: cereal, applesauce, granola bars and 18-ounce jars of peanut butter. Thank you for the generous way you support the Bowie Food Pantry each month.
