Prayer for the Election
Almighty God, to whom we must account for all of our powers and privileges: We pray that you be present with all the people of the United States, especially this upcoming week.  Help us to rely on your strength and to accept our responsibilities to our fellow citizens, that we may elect trustworthy leaders who will make wise decisions for the well-being of our society.  We pray for the peace and safety of all who vote, and pray that rights of every person be protected and every vote counted, that we may serve you faithfully and our nation be enabled to fulfill your purposes; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
