Bowie Food Pantry Donations
This Sunday, October 17, is our monthly drive to support the Bowie Food Pantry. Please bring your donations to the church on Sunday morning. This month’s greatest needs are: soups, granola bars, low sodium canned beans, canned fruit/applesauce, canned chili and healthy snacks. They can also use personal care items. Thank you in advance for your continued generosity!
All Saints Day Service of Remembrance
St. George’s will celebrate an All Saints Day Service of Remembrance on November 1 at 7 pm for those buried in the church cemetery and those who have died for whom you would like prayers. You can submit the names (deadline October 25) via email (email@example.com) with “All Saints Day prayer intentions” in the subject line or by completing the form found on the credenza. All are invited to attend the service which will be held outside the chapel. It will also be available via Zoom. We are in need of volunteers to read the names of those who have died, which is a central part of the service.
Join the Choir!
St. George's Choir is looking for additional singers to sing and pray in person at the Sunday 10 am service and on major holidays. Rehearsals are 7:30-9 pm on Wednesdays and either 9 or 9:15 am on Sundays. Questions? Email Music Director Dr. Joshua Fishbein at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sunday School is happening!
Sunday School has started for three classes at St. George's - a pre-K class, an elementary school class, and a Middle/High School class. We are happy to share the information with anyone who has a child or young person who would like to participate, as the classes are held at different times, places and modes. Email the office (email@example.com) for details. Many thanks to Seth Chamberlain, Jay and Tasha Tobias, Liz Beal and Jen Matson for leading.
