Food Drive-This Sunday August 15  from 1-2 pm
The Food Drive this month will be held a week from this Sunday on August 15 from 1-2 pm in the church parking lot.  If you attend services in person on that Sunday morning, you can drop off donations in the narthex, we ask that you put them in bags or boxes. Please remember they do not accept food donations that are expired. The collection benefits The Bowie Food Pantry. At this time they are in need of toilet paper, low sugar cereal, canned meats, dry goods - rice, instant potatoes, suddenly pasta salad, stuffing, canned fruit/applesauce.  The Justice League is very thankful for your continued support. Please contact Peggy Alexander at peggyalexander28@gmail.com if needed.

SAVE THE DATE:
Worship Service at the National Cathedral on August 29, 2021 at 11:15 AM
St. George’s will not have any in-person services on this day. There are a few ways to attend and enjoy this diocesan wide service.  St. George’s will have a Watch Party to join together and view the service via Zoom.  You can also attend in-person at the Cathedral or watch the service online from the EDOW  website or You Tube page.  Here is the link with details. Holy Eucharist - Washington National Cathedral.

Can you support the Altar Guild?
The altar guild is in need of a few more volunteers. Training is provided. The altar guild prepares the altar each Sunday and is a vital ministry to the life of the parish. Please consider helping! Contact Karen Horrocks at khorrocks@earthlink.net.

School Supplies Drive
Each year at this time we hold a school supplies drive for Gaywood Elementary School. As we did last year, we’ll be filling backpacks with specific supplies based on lists provided by Gaywood. Here is the 2021-2022 School Supply List. We are asking that you buy a backpack and fill it with all the supplies that a student in a specific grade is required to have. Please label the backpack as to what grade it is intended for. School starts September 8 and we would like to deliver the backpacks before then, so filled backpacks should be dropped off at St George’s on Sunday mornings between now and September 5; you can also contact Donna Haselton at dlhaselton@msn.com  to make other arrangements. Thank you for supporting the students and families of Gaywood!

Annapolis Pride - UPDATE
Due to COVID concerns, Annapolis Pride has rescheduled their parade and festival to June 4, 2022. Since St. George's is already registered we will be able to participate in the parade. We appreciate the interest from the parish and look forward to being fabulous in Annapolis next year. Here is the link with details: Annapolis Pride

Labor Day Parade
St. Georges has submitted a registration form for the Labor Day Parade and are waiting to hear back from the organizers. We hope you will join us on September 6 at 10 AM!
