St. George's Lenten Outreach Project
Please support a local Social Service agency this Lent. This year our Lenten collection is offered for the benefit of Community Crisis Services Inc. (CCSI).  CCSI manages the Warm Nights Shelter, a domestic violence assistance program and a 24 hour crisis hotline. There is a calendar available on the website announcements page to show the offering options and daily prayer and meditation reflections. We hope you use the calendar as a reminder of our Lenten outreach to support CCSI and its clients.  Your donations can help many of our neighbors in Prince George’s County. A donation of 50 cents a day for each of the 40 days of Lent will provide $20 to help others, and $1.00 a day will total $40. At the end of Lent, please make your donation online at stgeorgesglenndale.org or send a check with a notation that it is your Lenten donation. If possible please return your donations by April 18.

Food Pantry Collection Sunday February 21
The next food drive for the Bowie Food Pantry will be held this Sunday, February 21. People may bring donations to the 9 am service, we ask that you have them in bags or boxes. Another option is we invite people to drop off food to the church parking lot from 1-2pm.  The Pantry is in need of non perishable food, in particular: Soups, Beans, Canned vegetables,  Beefaroni,  Peanut butter,  Canned meats, Canned fish, Rice, Instant mashed potatoes,  Granola bars, Cereal,  Condiments, Pasta. They are also looking for fresh produce such as apples, oranges, onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and  squash. You may purchase large bags of the potatoes and/or apples, and they will distribute several pieces to clients, as requested. Please remember they do not accept food donations that are expired. The Justice League thanks you for your generosity! Any questions, please contact Peggy Alexander at peggyalexander28@gmail.com

Next Vestry Meeting is Tuesday February 23
The St. George’s Vestry meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7 pm to do the business of the church.  Vestry meetings are open to any member of the parish who would like to attend.  This month, due to the timing of the Annual Meeting, the February meeting is later. Here is the zoom link for the February meeting  Or call by phone 301-715-8592 and when prompted, enter the meeting ID number: 923 9389 8658 and the Passcode: 341151
