​Ash Wednesday Services and Imposition of Ashes February 22
Ash Wednesday services this year are on February 22 at 12 noon and 7 pm. Both services have Holy Communion and Imposition of Ashes. Connie+ will also be available at the church from 8:00 - 9:00 am and 1:30-2:30 pm for individual prayer and Imposition of Ashes.  The 7 pm service will be livestreamed via Zoom and YouTube.

​Mardi Gras next Saturday February 18!
St. George’s Mardi Gras Celebration is Saturday February 18!
Mardi Gras will be held on Saturday the 18th of February from 6-10pm.  The theme for this year’s party is…When the Saints Go Marching In!!  Sign-up sheets are up in the hallway at the church, if you can help with decorations, set up, clean up, etc. Meanwhile, buy your tickets now. Adult tickets are $28.00 in advance or $35.00 at the door; Ages 11-20 Are $18.00 in advance or $25.00 at the door. Ages 10 and under are free. If you would like to come and cost is an issue, scholarships are available; speak with Connie+.  If you can't make the party but would like to help, you can always donate to the scholarship fund.  Also, grab a flyer in the narthex to share with others. All are welcome!

​Bring in your Palms
Every year, we burn the palms from last year’s Palm Sunday to create the ashes for Ash Wednesday. If you would like your palms to be included, please bring them in by Sunday, February 19 and leave them in the basket in the narthex.

Pancake Supper Tuesday February 21
The Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper will be held on February 21 from 5:30-7:30 pm.  This event is sponsored by St. George's Youth Group in support of the 2023 Youth Mission Trip. The suggested donation is $7 for adults and $ 5 for children. Tickets are available now! Walk ins the day of are also very welcome.

​Diaper Collection through February
One of the families in the Gaywood Food Program welcomed a new baby over the Christmas break. To assist the family with what we know can be a significant expense, we will be collecting disposable diapers, sizes 1 & 2, through the month of February. Diapers can be left near the food pantry bins outside the main office. Thank you for your generous support of the families at Gaywood!
