Many Thanks -- St George’s Got Out the Vote!
After three “Postcard Sundays” in August, September and October, we are delighted to let you know what a huge success this project has been. This year St Georgians reached out to 211 intermittent Pennsylvania voters to remind them how vital it is to our democracy that voters do just that – vote. Last year the outreach to our Virginia neighbors was 150 postcards, so we are looking at a 40% increase – without even breaking a sweat! Who knows where future efforts will take us? All Saints Day Service of Remembrance St. George’s will celebrate an All Saints Day Service of Remembrance on November 1 at 7pm for those buried in the church cemetery and those who have died for whom you would like prayers. You can submit the names via email ([email protected]) with “All Saints Day prayer intentions” in the subject line or by completing the form found on the credenza. The deadline for submitting names is the end of the day Thursday October 27. |
