Celebrating the Life of Jeffrey Williams
St. George's is grieving the loss of our friend, brother, long time parishioner and 8 o’clock service stalwart Jeffrey Williams who died on April 9.  Jeffrey’s funeral will be held this Saturday, May 8 at 10AM. Pre-register here  if attending the limited capacity in person service. The service is also available on Zoom.  Here is the link or call in by phone 301-715-8592 and when prompted enter the Meeting ID 972 5206 3491.  There will also be a separate, Zoom only event held on Thursday, May 13 from 7-8PM. Click on Remembering Jeffrey Williams or call in by phone 301-715-8592 and when prompted enter the Meeting ID 984 5550 0387. We are asking parishioners who have pictures of Jeffrey to upload them and share to this file:  https://forms.gle/rRJfsSYMcTCFMpxN6    May Jeffrey's soul, and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Food Drive
The Food Drive this month will be held a week from this Sunday on May 16 from 1-2 pm in the church parking lot.  The collection benefits The Bowie Food Pantry. Their main food needs at this time are: rice/ pasta sides, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, canned meats, and canned fish. The Justice League is very thankful for your continued support. Please contact Peggy Alexander at peggyalexander28@gmail.com if needed.

Long time parishioner of St. George’s, Peta Cappello, is in need of a kidney . You can read about it HERE and share the information with others. Please keep Peta and her family in your prayers.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR SATURDAY SANDWICH MAKING FOR WARM NIGHTS
We are happy to announce that St. George’s Sandwich Ministry has received a grant of $2,616  from the Brotherhood of St. Gregory, the community of Brother Ed Munro. Many thanks to this wonderful organization for providing assistance to St. George’s Justice League to continue the sandwich making ministry.  We want to keep this ministry going and provide sandwiches for the homeless guests of Warm Nights but we need your support!  Please volunteer to help make sandwiches on Saturday mornings from 9:30 – 10:30 and/or donate bottled water for the lunches.  Sign up here:  Sandwich ministry
