VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR SATURDAY SANDWICH MAKING FOR WARM NIGHTS
We are excited to share the news that St. George’s Sandwich Ministry has received a grant of $2,616 from the Brotherhood of St. Gregory, the community of Brother Ed Munro. Many thanks to this wonderful organization for providing assistance to St. George’s Justice League to continue the sandwich making ministry.  We want to keep this ministry going and provide sandwiches for the homeless guests of Warm Nights but we need your support!  Please volunteer to help make sandwiches on Saturday mornings from 9:30 – 10:30 and/or donate bottled water for the lunches.  Sign up here:  Sandwich ministry

Bishop Chilton Knudsen Visits St. George's June 20
The Rt. Rev. Chilton Knudsen, assisting bishop in the Diocese of Washington, will be making a visitation to St. George's on Sunday, June 20.  Bishop Chilton will be with us in person to preach and celebrate the Eucharist.  We look forward to having her with us!

Diapers Needed
For a couple more weeks, St. George’s will be collecting disposable diapers, size 1, for one of the families in the Gaywood Food Program who is expecting a baby soon. Diapers may be dropped off at church on Sunday mornings, or contact Donna Haselton at dlhaselton@msn.com  to make other arrangements. Thank you for your generous support of the families at Gaywood!

Evening Prayer for the Season of Creation
This year we will observe the Season of Creation during the first four weeks after Pentecost as our Evening Prayer services on Tuesday and Thursday of each week starting on May 25.  Find the flyer at church, on the website-announcements page, or click here. Participate in any or all of the services.  For further information contact Terry Doyle, TerrenceDoyle@msn.com
