Next Sunday: Worship Service at the National Cathedral on August 29, 2021 at 11:15 AM
St. George’s will not have any in-person services next weekend. There are a few ways to attend and enjoy this diocesan wide service.  St. George’s will have a Watch Party to join together and view the service via Zoom.  You can also attend in-person at the Cathedral or watch the service online from the EDOW  website or You Tube page.  Here is the link with details. Labor Day Parade
St. George's will be participating in the Greenbelt Labor Day Parade on Monday, September 6. The parade starts at 10 AM at the usual spot on Crescent Road near Greenbelt Lake. Besides folks to walk in the parade we are looking for a vehicle so others can ride if needed. If you'd like more information, please contact Michael Mangiapane at theblackdog@gmail.com

School Supplies Drive
Each year at this time we hold a school supplies drive for Gaywood Elementary School. As we did last year, we’ll be filling backpacks with specific supplies based on lists provided by Gaywood. Here is the 2021-2022 School Supply List. We are asking that you buy a backpack and fill it with all the supplies that a student in a specific grade is required to have. Please label the backpack as to what grade it is intended for. School starts September 8 and we would like to deliver the backpacks before then, so filled backpacks should be dropped off at St George’s on Sunday mornings between now and September 5; you can also contact Donna Haselton at dlhaselton@msn.com  to make other arrangements. Thank you for supporting the students and families of Gaywood!

Can you support the Altar Guild?
The altar guild is in need of a few more volunteers. Training is provided. The altar guild prepares the altar each Sunday and is a vital ministry to the life of the parish. Please consider helping! Contact Karen Horrocks at khorrocks@earthlink.net.
