Bishop Chilton Knudsen Visits St. George's This Sunday June 20
The Rt. Rev. Chilton Knudsen, assisting bishop in the Diocese of Washington, will be making a visitation to St. George's on Sunday, June 20.  Bishop Chilton will be with us in person to preach and celebrate the Eucharist at 8:00 and 10:00 am.  We look forward to having her with us!

Food Drive-This Sunday, June 20
The monthly food drive is this Sunday June 20 from 1-2 pm in the church parking lot.  If you attend services in person on Sunday morning, you can drop off donations in the narthex, we ask that you put them in bags or boxes. The food drive benefits The Bowie Food Pantry. They are in need of: rice/ pasta sides, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, canned meats, and canned fish. Please contact Peggy Alexander at [email protected] if needed.

Cosmic Walk at 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 22
The Cosmic Walk is a meditation on the evolution of the universe and the formation of planet Earth. The Cosmic Walk is the culmination of our St. George’s Evening Prayer series on the Season of Creation and integrates themes from the past four-weeks. Weather permitting, we will meet outside.  Alternatively, we will move inside to Miller Hall if the weather does not cooperate.  Per our new guidelines, masks will not be required outside, but we will mask if the event is moved indoors.  If outdoors, bring a lawn chair if possible. For further information contact Terry Doyle, [email protected]

Updating Covid Restrictions for St. George’s
The “Coming together” team met recently and came up with some changes that we want to make you aware of and implement them as soon as possible. Here are the things that will change:
  1. We will eliminate the need to pre-register for any and all services.
  2. We will be putting the name tag rack of drawers out so that people can start wearing name tags again.  We just ask that you use hand sanitizer, before you grab your name tag.
  3. We will be putting all hymnals back into chairs.
  4. We will be increasing the rows of chairs in the sanctuary.  It will allow for more seats to do your choice of social distancing from.
  5. No masks are needed whenever you are outside of the church, either attending an event or standing around talking with others after or before a service.
We are not changing the indoor mask requirement or addressing in-person hospitality until later in the summer.
