Potato and Onion Sunday This Sunday
This Sunday is the potato and onion collection for Saint Matthew’s. Our donation provides food for over 275 families. We also need people to load and deliver the potatoes and onions to St. Matthew’s on Wednesday, July 8. Drivers meet at St. George’s at 9 am to load and deliver the food. There is a sign up sheet in the narthex to volunteer. 

Gaywood Elementary School Uniform Drive
Gaywood has a mandatory uniform policy for all students, but unfortunately this presents a financial challenge for some Gaywood families. In order to assist these families, we are holding a uniform and underwear drive from now until August 10 and are asking for donations of the following items:
 
Pants (Boys and girls, all sizes)

• Navy blue only
• Basic “chino” style
  • NO flared pants, spandex, sweatpants, corduroy, jeans, or cargo pants

Shorts, jumpers, skirts, skorts (Small sizes only; the older girls prefer to wear long pants)

• Navy blue (solid)

Sweaters (Boys and girls, all sizes)

• Any color (solid)

 
Sizes:
Gaywood students range in age from pre-K through 5th grade, so a wide variety of sizes are needed, from Extra Small to Extra Large. They particularly need both boys’ and girls’ pants in larger sizes.
 
Where to buy:
Uniforms are available at many retailers, in store and/or online, including Target, The Children’s Place, Amazon, Old Navy, Kohl’s, JCPenney, Macy’s, Walmart, and Lands’ End. Some popular uniform brands are Cat & Jack (at Target), The Children’s Place (at The Children’s Place and on Amazon), and French Toast.

In addition, this year Gaywood is also asking for new men’s and women’s underwear:

• Men’s sizes small, medium & large
• Women’s sizes small & medium

 
Donations should be dropped off at St George's by Sunday August 10 so we can deliver them to Gaywood well before school starts on August 25; you can contact Donna Haselton to make other arrangements or if you have questions.
