Christmas Flowers
Anyone who would like to is invited to make a donation for Christmas flowers, thanking God for an event or person in your life, or remembering someone who has passed away. All memorials and thanksgivings will be listed in the Christmas bulletin and can be submitted to the office via email HERE or via the paper form which can be found in a basket on the credenza. To be included in the Christmas bulletin, names should be submitted by Monday, December 15. Bowie Food Pantry Sunday, December 21 The December collection for the Bowie Food Pantry is on Sunday, December 21. This month they would like to receive donations of produce such as white potatoes, sweet potatoes, spinach, onions, apples or oranges to distribute to their clients. Soups are always welcome as well. They are very grateful for the outstanding amount of support they receive from St. George’s. Thank you all! Toy, Clothes, Baby, and Home Goods Collection Sunday, December 21 The Cathedral's Sanctuary Ministry is supporting a collection by Food Justice DMV of gently loved and new unwrapped toys, clothes, baby and home goods for babies and young children whose parents and caretakers have been detained or deported. We will collect those items on Sunday, December 21 for gift-giving on Three Kings Day (Epiphany). All contributions are gratefully welcomed. For more information, please contact Bill Mertens. Baby Jesus Blessing This Sunday This Sunday we will bless the baby Jesus! If you have a nativity set and would like to have the Jesus figure blessed, bring him up at the time of birthday blessings for a special prayer. All Jesuses are welcome. Christmas/Year End Donations to St. George's We welcome donations to St. George's for Christmas/Year End as we close out 2025 and get ready for 2026. If you choose to make a donation, mark it either "Christmas" or "Year End" for tracking purposes. Many thanks for your generosity to St. George's. |
