Bowie Food Pantry Collection Sunday, May 11
For the month of May, the Bowie Food Pantry has a very diverse list of needed items. They are condiments, canned fruit/apple sauce cups, canned tomato products- diced, stewed, etc., either regular or low sodium, personal care items- shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste. Please bring your donations to the church on May 11. Thank you for supporting the Bowie Food Pantry so faithfully! Flower Ministry Updates First, do you have peonies, hydrangeas, irises, or other flowers to share with St. George’s? Contact Nell Sydavar to let your garden's bounty be seen here at church. Secondly, we use small glass yogurt containers to send the flowers around the Easter candle home with others. If you have any, would you please bring them in? Yoplait Oui, Nounos, and La Fermiere are some brands that come in glass. Confirmation is Saturday May 10 at the National Cathedral Elizabeth Dixon, Jordan Howen, Margi Tarkalanova, and Jocelyn Tidwell have spent the past four months meeting weekly and learning, praying, and growing together on their confirmation journey. That journey culminates on Saturday, May 10 when they are confirmed by the bishop at a 10:00 am service at the Washington National Cathedral. All are invited and welcome to attend the service and support St. George's confirmands. |
