Youth Bake Sale Sunday, March 8
Sunday, March 8, the youth will have a bake sale to raise money for their upcoming trip to Nightwatch, an overnight pilgrimage to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. Come purchase treats and support our young people at the same time! Potato and Onion Sunday is Sunday, March 8 Sunday, March 8, is the potato and onion collection for Saint Matthew’s (we do ask that you not bring your produce early or it will sprout). Our donation provides food for over 275 families. Additionally, we need people to load and deliver the potatoes and onions to St. Matthew’s on Wednesday, March 11. Drivers meet at St. George’s at 9 am to load and deliver the food. There is a sign up sheet in the narthex to volunteer. St. George’s Lenten Outreach 2026 - Supporting Amica Center for Immigrant Rights It is a long-standing tradition of St. George’s to encourage parishioners to participate in St. George’s Lenten Outreach Project supporting organizations chosen by St. George's Justice League. All are encouraged to set aside a dollar or fifty cents or whatever you can for each of the forty days of Lent as a spiritual practice. This year the Justice League has chosen the Amica Center for Immigrant Rights as recipient of our donation. Amica aims to help as many people as possible navigate the immigration system safely and effectively, standing with those trapped in our nation’s fundamentally flawed immigration system. There are envelopes on the credenza or you can give online. We hope to have a generous amount to contribute at Easter. |
