Mardi Gras Party and Silent Auction Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 6:00 to10:00 pm
Tickets on sale now! Mardi Gras will be held on Saturday, February 10 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. The theme for this year’s party is…Jazz (as in the musical genre, the Jazz Age, jazz instruments, or favorite Jazz performers… let your creativity shine!) Sign-up sheets are up in the hallway at the church, if you can help with decorations, set up, clean up, etc. Meanwhile, buy your tickets now. Adult tickets are $35.00 in advance or $40.00 at the door; Ages 11-20 are $25.00 in advance or $30.00 at the door. Ages 10 and under are free. If you would like to come and cost is an issue, scholarships are available; speak with Connie+. If you can't make the party but would like to help, you can always donate to the scholarship fund. Also, grab a flyer in the narthex to share with others. Invite friends, family and neighbors! All are welcome! Screening of The Philadelphia Eleven this Sunday, January 21 We are pleased to announce that St. George's will host a screening of the documentary The Philadelphia Eleven - the first women ordained in the Episcopal Church. The screening will be this Sunday, January 21 at 4:00 pm at St. George's. The recommended donation is $5. If you are planning to attend and haven’t contacted David yet, there is a sign up sheet at the church. All are welcome! At 10 AM this morning we will start streaming the service. Bowie Food Pantry
The collection for the Bowie Food Pantry will take place on Sunday, January 14. We are asked to donate tuna fish, soup, and personal care items such as soap and toothpaste. They are very grateful for our generous donations each month. Bowie Food Pantry

They are very grateful for our generous donations each month. 9:00 am Service Sunday, January 7 for Ensuring our Future Celebration and International Potluck Come celebrate Epiphany with one 9:00 am service on January 7! This will also be a celebration of our "150 for 150" campaign as we invite donations over four years for Ensuring our Future. There is information on the credenza about EoF and 150 for 150. As we come to the conclusion of our sesquicentennial year we gather as one community in gratitude for all that we have and look forward to St. George's future. Hospitality that day is an International Potluck, and all are invited to bring a dish to share. Adult Confirmation Class Informational Meeting January 14 On Sunday, January 14 there will be a meeting about the 2024 Adult Confirmation Class. If you are interested in learning about the confirmation process, or would like to be confirmed, received, or reaffirm your confirmation, this meeting is for you! The class will start later in January and end with confirmation in May. Speak to Connie+ if you have any questions. Christmas Flowers
Anyone who would like to is invited to make a donation for Christmas flowers, thanking God for an event or person in your life, or remembering someone who has passed away. All memorials and thanksgivings will be listed in the Christmas bulletin and can be submitted to the office via email HERE or via the paper form which can be found in a basket on the credenza. To be included in the Christmas bulletin, names should be submitted by Tuesday, December 19.
