Potato and Onion Sunday This Sunday
The next potato and onion collection for Saint Matthew’s is this Sunday. Our donation provides food for 200 families so please bring in your potatoes and/or onions next week (we do ask that you not bring your produce early or it will sprout). Additionally, we need people to load and deliver the potatoes and onions to St. Matthew’s on Wednesday, January 7. Drivers meet at St. George’s at 9 am to load and deliver the food. There is a sign up sheet in the narthex to volunteer. Thanks for your support and help!

Epiphany Potluck Dinner This Tuesday, January 6 at 6:30 pm
January 6, Epiphany, is the twelfth day of Christmas and St. George's is celebrating with a potluck supper starting at 6:30 pm. Bring a dish to share, come and enjoy a meal, fellowship, and celebrate the Magi. All are welcome! Please let Roy Peterson know of your participation and look for the sign up sheet in the narthex so we’ll know what you are bringing.

Informational Meeting About Confirmation Class January 11
Confirmation is the sacramental rite of laying on of hands by a bishop in an adult commitment or renewal of faith. If you come from another tradition, confirmation is the official process of becoming Episcopalian. At St. George's confirmation is offered for those in high school or older; classes start in January and meet weekly in preparation for the service at the Washington National Cathedral in mid-May. There will be an informational meeting for those interested in learning more on Sunday, January 11 after the 10:00 am service. The day/time of the class will be determined by availability of those interested in coordination with the rector.
