Embrace Adult Education Opportunity Begins Next Monday
You are invited to participate in an adult education class beginning on Monday, September 30 called Embrace. This is a six-week program designed to explore the ways that we embrace our faith as Episcopalians. Our opening session on Monday, September 30 will be held on Zoom, beginning at 7:00 pm. The meeting link is HERE.

Whether you are a long-time Episcopalian, new to the church or a seeker, we will hear the Church’s story with a deeper appreciation of the traditions of the Church. Throughout Embrace, participants explore the most important beliefs and practices of the Christian community. Questions may emerge: What is the Bible? How are Episcopalians different from other Christian communities? What is the Eucharist? What practices and ministries are important to Episcopalians? The program will highlight brief videos to launch our personal reflections to share our faith experience as well as a weekly Bible study. While our first session will be done on Zoom, we will likely hold at least one in-person session as determined by the members of the group. If you have questions about Embrace, reach out to Connie+ or other members of the Education Committee: Jocelyn Tidwell, Karen Horrocks, or Terry Doyle.

Wednesday Evenings Chapel Eucharist for Our Nation in Oct: A Note from the Rector
This November we are facing a most consequential presidential election. Perhaps you, along with many others, fear for the direction of our country or the health of our democracy. Perhaps you have felt despair about what might happen, regardless of the outcome of the election. There will be an opportunity this fall to come together for a mid-week Eucharist at 7 pm on Wednesday evenings in St. George's chapel. It will be a celebration of Holy Communion and we will offer specific prayers for our country each week. This starts next Wednesday, October 2 and will continue through November. Come and pray, or as Jesus said, "come to me all you who are weary and carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."

Blessing of the Animals Saturday, October 5 at 10:00 am
We will celebrate St. Francis and his love of creation with a brief service of blessing for companion animals on Saturday, October 5 at 10 am outside in the church yard. Bring any animal in your life for a blessing!
