We're Having a Potato and Onion Easter - Sunday, April 5 What better way to celebrate Easter than with potatoes and onions for our sister parish San Mateo? Our monthly potato and onion collection falls on April 5 and we ask you to bring in whatever amount of onions and/or potatoes you can on that Sunday. (Please don't bring your produce early or it will sprout). St. George's donation helps provide food for over 275 families. Additionally, we need people to load and deliver the potatoes and onions to St. Matthew’s on Wednesday, April 8. Drivers meet at St. George’s at 9 am to load and deliver the food. There is a sign up sheet in the narthex to volunteer. St. George’s Lenten Outreach 2026 - Supporting Amica Center for Immigrant Rights This year the Justice League has chosen the Amica Center for Immigrant Rights as recipient of our Lenten Outreach. We encouraged any who can to set aside a dollar or fifty cents a day for each of the forty days of Lent as a spiritual practice, and now invite you to bring your donation in as our Lenten observance ends and we celebrate Jesus's resurrection. Amica aims to help as many people as possible navigate the immigration system safely and effectively, standing with those trapped in our nation’s fundamentally flawed immigration system. There are envelopes on the credenza or you can give online HERE (choose "Lenten Outreach" from the fund list).
